Tommy Tenderfoot Dutch Oven BeansRecipe courtesy of:
Hold back 4 slices of bacon and fry the rest. Chop onion and brown in bacon grease. Add beans (drained), bacon (cut up) and all other ingredients, salting and peppering to taste. Put the 4 slices of bacon on top of the mixture. Place a few (6-8) white hot charcoal briquettes under the Dutch oven and a bunch (15-20) of white hot charcoal briquettes on top of the Dutch oven.
